Since we have to post our own scores to our individual handicap systems and the scores must be posted using ESC (Equitable Stroke Control), then why not use the same concept on the course and have someone pickup after they have reached their ESC for that hole.

For example, a 13.3 handicap index has an ESC max of 7 strokes per hole. After 7 strokes, pick it up and hold the flag.
