The gift bag used to be of more meager contents and was basically a shirt, hat , cart tag and a couple other trinkets. A lot of people complained (basically the ones that enter and will never stand a chance of winning anything on skill) and now we have a gift bag that has a lot more in it, random drawings for prizes , etc so everyone has a chance on winning something to get more people to sign up for the event. I think the WA staff just responded to what people said they want in the survey. this is just my take on what I have seen happen in the 12 years I have played in this event.
