Just wondering, 2 persons have indexes of 18 (lowest) and 23(highest) during the past year. However, first person’s lowest was 11 months ago and is currently playing at his highest. The other person’s indexes are reversed. Both players have a continuous, gradual, slope in the direction of their current index. Should both players be treated the same , 18 index, for the tournament ? It is my opinion that such players, if honest, as most players are, cannot have control over their handicap for 11 months, and should be put into different flights. What is currently happening is that you are penalizing the honest player at the expense of the few cheaters. Cheaters can be taken care of by the tournament committee in MB.
