I have probably played most of the popular golf balls on the market. In the past I played the Titleist NXT Tour & Tour S for the longest time saving the extra money over ProV1’s. However 2 years ago my wife purchased me a dozen ProV1X balls as a gift. After playing the next 12 rounds with out losing a ball as well as the ball flight consistency I have quite experimenting with golf balls, I am a ProV1X guy for life (Much to the happiness of Titleist I am sure). Like golf club shafts the performance of golf balls are different for each player, if you find one that you like and are consistent with the ball flight stay with it. Confidence in your equipment is a valuable thing, if you think a particular ball performs better for you than another it can do noting but help your game.
