You are eliminating on average one person making 4 shots per hole. Just to play the shoot he gets 40 seconds plus the time he discusses everything with his caddie about the shot. Having caddies in most of the events I volunteer at figure a caddie adds 35 minutes to the round. I just finished an event where they used the same tee times and hole time as he the past. We struggled in the past to get them around in the time allotted. This year, with no caddies, they finished in 30 minutes under time par. The field consisted of some of the best Amateurs on the southeast on a course that has very demanding greens. I have seen the 3 some work and I had some of the fastest rounds on the WA using them. JMO
