Double par is for Thursday Night Men’s League. This is a big tournament and should be played as such. A max 9 or even 10 is needed but double par gives someone a triple bogey on an island par 3 that they couldn’t hit if they had all day. I’ve taken a 9 on a par 3 and I’m a better person for it. Giving me a 6 instead of 9 or 10 would have penalized the people who got a legitimate 6 on that hole and that can matter at the end of the week.
