This will be my 21st World Am event, and on every occasion, I’ve shot well over my handicap. I put it down to a number of factors:
i) We’re required to play off our low handicap index from the last 12 months
ii) Tournament pressure
iii) The rough always seems to be quite long, particularly if there has been a lot of rain in the week prior to the event.
iv) Course set-up is usually quite difficult and with soggy fairways the holes play long as there is very little roll.
Looking forward to changing the trend this year!
