Another thing nobody has touched on is make sure you bring good rain gear and rain gloves. It will rain and unless there is lightning in the area play will continue. I remember once it was raining hard enough that there were puddles forming on some of the greens making putting quite the challenge. Some of the courses have covers for the clubs attached to the carts but some do not so make sure you bring a cover for your clubs and a towel or two!
