What will the date be for the lowest 12 month index?
April 30, 2017 at 6:06 pm #38258Bob NewmanParticipantJon–not an official answer but I think that last year, on Aug 15th when you sent in you current info for handicapping purposes, GHIN will give you your lowest index of last 12 months. As near as I can remember, its no guess work, it is right on GHIN website that you have to go to anyway. Scott will answer you but this might help in meantime.

A person with an index of 18 on 9/1 and a 23 on 8/15 is not the same as a person with a 23 on 9/1 and an 18 on 8/15.I am assuming there is a gradual change in index over that time period. They should not be playing in the same flight !! The committee has ways of dealing with sandbaggers that does not have to affect the majority of honest golfers.

I post all my scores and record a score for every round I play even if the game is based on points. The lowest index for 12 months is FAIR.
