I know there were many people who felt the loss of the 19th hole in 2020 was a significant loss. I also know over the years the 19th hole has been a topic of conversation. I personally do not attend the 19th hole and after seeing a deduction or gift for not having the 19th hole I am asking if the World Am might consider:
A. A reduced fee for a registration without 19th hole access.
B. A gift in lieu of 19th hole access.I absolutely see the value for the 19th hole if I was bringing my wife, or if I was travelling with or meeting a large group of friends at the tourney and were looking for a place to gather and meet. I am not bringing my wife or meeting up with a group of friends.
I also understand if the 19th hole is dependent on the financial participation of all registrants I will go along. However if there is a way for the World Am to offer some options excluding the 19th hole, I would encourage those conversations.February 7, 2021 at 12:32 pm #48811adam petersonParticipant2021 schedule of events says 19th hole is virtual. Not sure if that is confirmed yet.

I saw the virtual note as well, I was thinking that applied more to the guest speakers than the actual “drinking and eating” part. I know the World Am group would like to have a “normal” 19th hole and it is popular with a lot of the golfers. I just personally don’t miss it.

February 8, 2021 at 12:38 pm #48815Tommy BriggsBlockedLee I absolutely agree, there is no doubt in my mind players who bring their spouse and / or family would find the 19th hole a tremendous experience. It would be the one part of the tournament my wife would enjoy if she went, but she does not have any interest in coming with me. My one and only gripe about the WA has been; I am travelling by myself, and I just do not find the 19th hole appealing. I know I am paying for players to enjoy the 19th hole with their spouses and family and I think there should be a price reduction for players who do not want to attend, Then charge the players who intend to go a little extra and make extra 19th hole passes available for purchase instead of trading them for PGA Gift cards.

On zoom..and save 150 bucksMarch 19, 2021 at 11:24 am #48884Danny FoxParticipantWell Adam, Many of us really enjoy the 19th hole, not only for the food and drinks. We like seeing all the vendors, the live music and visiting with people we have met over the years past. So for me personally it is worth the little extra money.

I wish the WA would offer a discount for those who do not want to go to the 19th hole and charge a little extra for guest passes for those who want to go.
