In the time it takes to drive to the CC, find a parking spot and walk in. I can walk the 3 blocks from our place on the beach. I can then drink as much as I want and walk the 8 blocks back and not fret about driving.

Only 3 blocks Jim. Thats about a driver, wedge and three putts for you.

    BUT

On the inward journey thats about driver, 3 wood, schank schank, 5 iron, wedge and 4 putts into the wind.

Are you staying at the breakers? that’s where I am and I figured 3 blocks. BUT on the way back crossing Bus 17 could be dangerous. 🙂

Bus 17 could be dangerous but we surround ourselves with other people so they would get run over first. (Camelot, next to the breakers)

Bob, open up your mind and see the meaning of life. Humor, is the way to a happy life. What I wrote was funny, what Harry replied was hilarious. As they were meant to be. If you want the serious, we park at the bank across the street. One vehicle, 1 designated driver, 2 or 3 couples. It seems to work for us.

Jim, is that like helping a drunk friend home and falling off his back a couple times??? or quietly sitting at a bar having a drink and someone walks by and step0s on your ear lope???? I think I have my parking problems solved, I will save the $20, I have a “S Y T” lined up to drive me and pick me up, will probably cost about $ 50 / nite. But all of my plans may be for naught as the wife may be joining me now that the granddaughters will have moved by then and she will not be taking them to school– this hurts more than a shank.

$20 for parking for the 4 days, no big deal. I will be there with 2 other golfers
from my Saturday group and even with a designated driver each night, 2 of us will
be able to drink more than the $5 a night to offset the cost of parking. I understand
some people do not drink, but we also come to see people we golfed with and do the
whole 19th hole experience for a couple of hours each night. I came very close last
year at sinking one of my putts at the putting challenge. I may even try the chipping
challenge this year, and hope I do not shank one towards the Domino’s food stop like
I have seen done many times over the course of years I have been there.

    Bob N,
We can’t wait to meet the saint of a woman that takes care of you most of the year.(excluding the times you get away) Looking forward to seeing you and your lovely BEST half.

Just a little tip on parking. Last year I never paid a thing for any of the four days, When you drive into the parking area there are two lanes. One with a booth straight ahead in the left lane and another just around the corner in the right lane. I took the right lane every night last year and was displaying my wifes disabled parking permit to which they just waved me through without payment each night. Hope the same thing happens this year

The state of South Carolina does not charge for handicapped parking. A few years ago we went on a cruise out of Charleston and was informed of that. We parked free

Thanks Mike, thats good to know…… I may have to get down to the nearest Kinkos colour photo copier and make a few hundred permits up so I can sell them at the 19th hole for $3 a peice

I did not know that, I could have been parking for free, will not need my pennies this year.
