As of this morning, Black Bear Golf Course (aka Myrtle West) has closed. New owners took over 2 years ago but made only minor attempts to market the course to area players.
I played there 3 times in the World Am and always enjoyed it. It has still not dried out from October’s rains.August 17, 2016 at 7:24 pm #35829Jon CraigParticipantIt is a shame, I remember when Robbers Roost closed many years ago. I shed a tear, always liked that course.

If only I could win the lottery id buy Black Bear!
