louie, are you not friends with that scandral Tom Andeeson– ran into him working an event in Columbia a while back and all he could talk about was how he beat me a few years back. Still can not talk him into coming back. Have a good tournament this year.

Bob, yes I happen to know the scoundrel. What he hasn’t told you is that he played in the World Am 6 or 7 times and would get so up tight that he couldn’t break 90. Somehow he caught fire the year he won and surprised everybody, including me, and especially himself. His biggest disappointment though was the awful trophy that they gave that year. It was a glass salad bowl (not crystal) that looked like it came from Wal-Mart. I think that was the biggest reason he hasn’t played again. However, he and I are teaming up in the Fall Classic this November. He called me yesterday to let me know he had good news and bad news. He had shot 71 scratch at Carolina Country Club (the good news) but his index dropped from 9 to 7 (the bad news) and therefore he’ll probably be stuck with that in November. I’ll tell him you asked about him………
