Would have been WINDY!!! Sure logistics and course conditions would have prevented it.

Absolutely, I’ve said it since Tuesday.. we pay 600 for two rounds and two rain checks that I’ll most likely not use… premature bad decision.. and also for River hills, they just wanted us out of there and it was evident..

I agree, later start time would have been perfect, maybe they will give discounts for next year’s event LOL

I remember back in 2008 you had to be at the course no matter what and the decision would be made at the course, we played Farmstead in the first round and we waited until after 11 am but we played. Same in 2015 at the River Club, drove all the way in the rain to the course and we waited about a hour and the round was cancelled but we had to be there and the decision would be at the course.

Some courses were flooded and could not open on Thursday. Seemed worse hit were the inland courses, Longs and Conway. Players called to use rainchecks and they were closed.

I’m not saying one way or another whether the decision was good. But I do understand why they did it and will not criticize as the safety of participants with a hurricane is a high priority. Now, if it was just rain in the forecast on Tuesday when they cancelled, different story.

Most courses were open…..the reason some closed was simply they had world am planned that day. And world am should have been played on that thursday
