Out of simple curiosity, I looked up how many Canadian and UK golfers are signed up. 2 from Canada and 1 from UK. That is so sad for this year but totally understandable considering the health care/insurance issues. To all of my Canadian and UK friends who will not be in MB this year…really going to miss seeing you. COVID sucks!!!

Also for the ones who drive down the land borders are closed. Myself and a buddy come down every year by car. This year he is not going. I am coming down. It is a bit tricky for me to make it this year. I have a 4 hour drive to Toronto to catch my flight. My only non stop flight I can get is into Charlotte NC. I will have a three + hour drive from there. Flights are few and far between as well. So I understand why most are not coming. I won’t miss it for the world. I am retiring on August 14 so quarantine for me won’t be a problem. I will have the honey do list to take care of.

Restaurants were open, even buffets, with mask and gloves, and crowded. The golf courses were open and have been. Hotels were open and busy as were the beaches. I only witnessed one case, young people congregating in a large group with no masks or social distancing. It appears the the number of Covid case is moderating and SC is not one of the top 5 hot spots currently. So I hope that we all stay healthy and have a great time
