Was wondering if there is some way you can give the competitors an idea of what the handicap range will be in a flight BEFORE we have to make decisions about playing with other competitors.
There’s always groups that come down and want to play together but are hesitant about giving up too many strokes to play with a friend.
I recall in the past you would be able to view the handicap range on the past result page but it seems like that is no longer the case.
Thanks for any help and looking forward to August.March 28, 2021 at 4:08 pm #48918Scott T. – World AmKeymaster
You can always ask us what the ranges were from a prior year, but they’re never the same so it’s best not to take a ton of stock in it. A good general rule is the more common the handicap (IE: 10-15) the tighter the range is and more likely you’d have to drop to a very similar index as the friend. When you’re in the 0-5 or 20+ range it could get moved quite a bit.
The short answer to your question is no, it’s about near impossible do what you’re looking for. I’d love to help, since it is a common question we get.March 31, 2021 at 10:49 am #48938Joe NeumeyerParticipant
