Just seen that Long Bay just started replacing their greens. It is listed as a course in this years event. Is this course going to be removed??

June 6, 2023 at 3:15 pm #51722Mike SigmonParticipantOh my it will be like River Hills last year they open back up just before the W/A started and the Greens sucked…As will any new greens when that are first redone…Like the guy I talked to last year at river hills said give them 6 months and they will be great !!!

Just hope that’s not one of my draws for the week…June 7, 2023 at 9:18 am #51724Kirk RobertsParticipantMy home course replaced their greens and they was nice and smooth. They was firm because of the lack of thatch and all the sand used to top dress them but they putted great! So the presumption that new greens will suck is not necessary.
June 7, 2023 at 1:21 pm #51725david tianoParticipantThey will get better but to install new greens in May and open first week of August is only 3 months. Parleys is doing same thing and not opening till October
