Hi Scott, How about putting one of these in the gift bag, you have people that are worried about getting the ball out of the hole. With one of these it makes it easier to get the ball out of the hole with this on the end of your putter. It’s item number 1003716 at the PGA Superstore. Just thought that would be a great addition to the gift bag. I have been using one for years and it works great look it up to see how easy it is to use.June 28, 2020 at 8:53 pm #47516Tommy BriggsBlocked
No thank you I don’t mind bending over to pick a ball up from out of the hole, I think those things look gimmicky. I’d rather have the $20.00 and buy something useful.June 29, 2020 at 10:13 am #47520Aaron EllisParticipant
I’m with Tommy, I’ll take my chances, doubt I’d ever stick that on the end of my $400 Bettinardi putter!July 17, 2020 at 9:37 am #47636
Aaron, first congras on tying for first in your flight ( # 8 ) in the under 49 group. Wait till you get like me in the Super Senior group ( 71 years old, Fight 59 ) the old back just can’t take all the bending over like it use to . That’s when you will put it on your putter. As you get older all the other ailments get to you also. This is the best ball picker up that I have seen or used, you don’t even know its on the end on your putter.July 18, 2020 at 11:26 pm #47648Rick KimbrellParticipant
Well, I am 73 years old (74 by time WA gets here), have been in Super Seniors for 3 years so far and I don’t want one of those devices on my putter. Bending over helps keep us young.
And, people dragging the ball out of the hole with their putter SHOULD BE SHOT on the spot.

Played with a guy one year and on the first hole he used his putter to dig it out. Someone in the group said something to him and the discussion began. He did not take the hint and one of us would beat him to the hole and take it out for him.July 19, 2020 at 9:57 am #47654
Guys, this is a ball pick up, it’s spring loaded and you spear the ball out of the cup, after that you close it so you don’t know it’s on your putter I agree about digging the ball out with your putter head, that will mess up the hole and should not be done. This works for me because I have other medical conditions that come into play. Mainly an amputated right leg below the knee so bending over with my prosthetic leg on is a strain on my back. Just teeing the ball every hole is hard to do but I love playing golf no matter how bad I PLAY NOW.July 19, 2020 at 2:01 pm #47661Rick KimbrellParticipant
Lee, understand your condition is much different that most of ours. So, would never give you crap about anything to help you out knowing this now.July 19, 2020 at 7:09 pm #47664Tommy BriggsBlocked
Lee if you need the additional help, that’s fine, but it is a tool that has been available for years, there is a reason why most golfers don’t use one. Like I said if you need one, great, glad you found one you like. But do not put one in my gift bag I would much rather have something I can use and I don’t need a putter all pick upJuly 27, 2020 at 1:44 pm #47702Stan MahaffeyParticipant
Someone gave me one of these years ago at the PGA Merchandise Show. It is still in the package and in a box somewhere!
