I was assigned a course with no driving range on day 1. Is it possible we are expected to play a tournament round without the ability to warm up. How can the WorldAm schedule a course with no driving range?

It will not be as bad as you think. Over the years I have been assigned courses with out driving ranges several times. Keep in mind, everyone is in the same boat. If you have a warm up aid like an Orange whip or a product like it that can help stretch you out before the round. You can take a hitting mate and a few of the foam balls to hit to warm up. Also depending on your tee time you can stop at one of the driving ranges going to the course. Besides, I would trade with you in a flash if I could to get to play the courses that do not have a driving range because they are that nice.
Best of luckAugust 23, 2021 at 12:32 pm #49960Jim KavanaghParticipantSounds like you got Caledonia. You drive past True Blue on the way.

There should be a flight playing there also.August 23, 2021 at 1:35 pm #49971Mike CheesemanParticipantWho’s going to know on the other ranges if you are playing there or not.
August 23, 2021 at 3:43 pm #49979Mark HancockParticipantI have warmed up at nearby WA courses over the years and no one has ever said a thing to me. As far as they know, I just a WA player scheduled to play on that course that day.
I would take four rounds at Caledonia for the WA every year.
August 23, 2021 at 3:57 pm #49981Walter WhiteParticipantCaledonia also has those little chipping areas with greens. They had a spot to hit 40 – 50 yards. just left of the 9th hole.
August 23, 2021 at 9:51 pm #49995William ZeoliParticipant3500 golfers 50 courses I million questions….and the issue is no driving range on one course? You’re kidding, right?
August 23, 2021 at 11:36 pm #49999Rick KimbrellParticipantWarm up? Hit balls before the round? Who does that? Stumble onto the first tee, put the peg in the ground, ball on the peg. Ready, Fire, Aim. Go find it.
August 25, 2021 at 11:59 am #50068Glenn FosterParticipantFellas, I’ve done the same thing in the past, to warm up at another course…just need to be aware. This ain’t 3 years ago. We might not be able to access a range/course without a name on the list before a round, since tee times will allow better control of ranges or bag drop areas? I’m not saying it’s true, just saying we need to be aware and respectful of the C-19 protocols of the tournament and at each course?
Not everybody likes to even hit balls anyway, I know. Just trying to be conscious and respectful that all backs aren’t created equal! 🙂 🙂August 25, 2021 at 12:23 pm #50069ALAN CaswellParticipantI agree with with Ricks summation!!!
