Looking to see if anybody in the Men’s 50-59 senior flight, 8.5-9 hdcp range is staying at Sands Ocean Club in N. Myrtle or general vicinity and would consider a rider during the tournament. Once flights are set, will be much easier to set up with some degree of certainty but trying to get the ball rolling. Gladly willing to pay my fair share if option is there for me.

JT, I am not sure where Bearfoot is located. If that is also in N Myrtle I would love to hook up if we end up in the same flight. I do have a vehicle rented but my son is joining me this year and it may be easier for him to take it seeing as how he will be in a much different hdcp flight than I, not to mention the age thing too.

Trying to find a ride share from N Myrtle Beach. Playing in the Senior Men’s 50-59 group, looks like the 12 month hdcp will put me in at an 8.0 hdcp. Anybody playing about that same number staying in North Myrtle? I am staying at the Sands Ocean Club/Ocean Annies.

Charles you may be just a little ahead of yourself. Once the flight assignments and course assignments are announced you will probably have a little more success. Also when you register the WA has a table for ride share information, both people looking for a ride and people offering rides.

Ride share is a great idea. 2 years ago I offered to be a driver for anyone in the 2 flights I was with for the week. Barely an hour after I registered the WA people called me and asked if I was still willing to drive a guy for the week. I said sure as long as they were staying reasonably close to where I was staying. Well we met on Sunday night at the Opening party at the house of blues and have stayed in touch since. Turned out my new friend was here for his 1st WA and came over from the UK. He and his brother were both playing in it, and now they are coming back. My buddies from the US and these guys got together every night and partied like we’d known each other for years. Can’t wait to catch back up, play a practice round and get together again. The beauty of golf and how it can bring people together.

JT thanks for following along on this. When we communicated the other day I was thinking that we were in a different hdcp range than where it appears that I will be placed. I would love to hook up still with you if we do end up being so close. The 12 mth index handed me a dose of reality, so I reposted again thinking we were going to be spaced too far apart. Looks like we may be close after all. I have no issue at all with arriving early and leaving later. Part of the process, thanks again!

Tommy, from past experience I have learned that it is never too early to put out a feeler. I hate waiting until the last minute for anything so I started the process a bit early, completely understanding that nothing could be settled until flights actually come out. My last time playing in this there was no ride share info at sign up so this was a nice piece of news that I learned earlier today. If anything it started getting my juices flowing just talking about the world am.

Once course assignments came out I went from looking for a ride to being able to offer a ride for up to 3 people playing in Flights 15/16 that are staying in N Myrtle. If you are in need of a ride to and from our courses in those flights, I am staying at the Sands Ocean Club/Ocean Annies and am willing to drive for the week.
