Might be a couple weeks early, but I will be looking to catch rides to courses in my flight. 16.0 handicap in the 50-59 Senior flights. Staying at Beach Cove Resort, which is ocean front near the Barefoot Landing shopping area. Willing to help with gas. My wife and three kids will need to have the car to get around….don’t want to force her to wake early every day to drop me off.
Thanks to anyone who can help.

What is your 12 month low index. I am in the 50-59 age group with a 13.6 index. I would be happy to give you a ride if we are in the same flight grouping.August 8, 2017 at 2:23 pm #39156Dale CraigParticipantHas anyone ever used Uber or Lyft to get to the courses? I would think it would be easier to find someone to give a lift back to your hotel or whatever after the round. Certainly getting someone lined up in advance would be best. I was just thinking this might be an alternative. We just got Uber and Lyft here in upstate NY last month and I’m considering using it to get to the airport for my flight to MB. The cost seems to be 1/2 or more than a taxi and for some reason I can’t get my wife to drive me to the airport at 4:30 in the morning for my trip :-O. I even consider forgoing the rental car for the week, but I like the independence of driving too much to have to wait around for a ride.
On a side note for the car rental, I’m using my Costco membership for car rental and it is way cheaper than any other way to rent. I’ve had to cancel my reservation 3x already because the closer I get to the trip the cheaper the rental cost is.August 8, 2017 at 4:56 pm #39157Terry CorneliusParticipantScott, thanks for the kind reply. 16.0 is my 12 month low. I am now about 16.8. Pretty sure that the gap between your handicap and mine is a bit too large to be in same flight…..perhaps on same course, if we’re lucky. I will keep you in mind when the assignments come out. Are you staying near Barefoot Landing?
Dale, you just gave me reason enough to go renew my Costco membership! 🙂 I considered Uber and Lyft, too. Pretty sure at least one of them is in Myrtle Beach.

I am staying down the strip a few miles, about half way between Barefoot and the convention center. Most mornings I am up and going about 5:30, so if you cannot find a ride and we are playing close to each other I can still at least help get you to the course. - AuthorPosts
