Golfers are some of the most routine driven groups I have been exposed to. In addition to routine, many have some very serious superstitions. I thought it might be interesting to discuss some of our routines / superstitions. Here are two of mine
— I have to get to the course at least 1.5 hours early or I feel like I am late.
— I really am uncomfortable if I am not drivingAugust 21, 2019 at 6:06 pm #46916jt fosterParticipant

Big fart before I tee offAugust 21, 2019 at 8:44 pm #46919
One I have been trying to get over this year….never wear anything dark blue.
Never ever have a penny, or any US change for that matter, in my pocket. I use non-US coins for ball markers.
Other than that…I am a pretty normal guy. Granted most of my friends will disagree with that but what do they know.August 21, 2019 at 8:46 pm #46920
Hey Rick I can bring you a Canadian loonie. Which is a dollar or 60 cents USAugust 21, 2019 at 9:12 pm #46922
Mike, I have a couple Loonies but actually I am partial to the Toonie. I like the 2 tone coin and I use the Toonie almost exclusively. 🙂
I also have some 2 tone coins from UK, Mexico, Dominican Republic that get in the mix if I feel the Toonie is letting me down.August 21, 2019 at 9:38 pm #46927
I use 50p from Scotland as a ball marker. I summer in St Andrews and have a bunch of coins.August 22, 2019 at 9:15 am #46931
Mike, having worked for an oilfield company and traveled all over the world, I have coins from lots of countries. Every country I would go to, I would look to see if they had the 2 tone coins similar to the Peso or the Toonie and make sure I got some of them. The 1 pound and 2 pound Sterling coins are really nice but they are a little thick to use as ball markers JMHO.August 22, 2019 at 9:49 am #46936Charles GrayParticipant
Big fart as I tee off seems to get my game off to a fine start. Kinda like the afterburners for takeoff.August 22, 2019 at 9:58 am #46938

To repeat the old joke: “I don’t have ANY superstitions. They’re UNLUCKY!”August 22, 2019 at 2:41 pm #46957Walter WhiteParticipant
I am not superstitious, but but don’t take a chance. Black cat crosses my path, I go other way just in case;)
Use Brazilian Real(he-al) for marker, heads up. Like Kimbrell, work for oil company all over the world..
