I have organized the skin game in my flight for longer than I can remember and would do it again this year. I will again be in the 60-69 group. Last year was in flight 40. Might be in a lower one this year. Look forward to seeing all the great guys again this year. Tommy Skeens if your out there give me a call. We are playing Man of War on Fri afternoon.

July 26, 2016 at 3:45 pm #35250David BakerParticipantJon, usually we collect $100 on Monday. $20 SHINK GAME ON Mon-Wed and $40 on Thur. Last year we had a couple of $1000 pots. You will be filghted by your hcp with others who have your hcp or close. There are more senior flights than any others.

July 27, 2016 at 12:25 pm #35287Rick KimbrellParticipantJon…just a warning. I have played in the WA for many many years and 99% of the skins games thru the years have been legit. However, make sure whoever is taking your money for skins is actually listed as a player in the flight or flights that is playing on the course you are on. Yes, it has happened before. Someone who was not playing in the tournament, collected skins money and was never seen again. He was not play in the event. I play in the skins game during the tournament and on occasion have ended up running it because no one else would step up and do it.
July 28, 2016 at 10:27 pm #35322David BakerParticipantRick, good observation. It is always good to know who you are dealing with. I have had many good experiences over the years with many great guys. I would definitely want who ever was running it to be playing for sure.
July 31, 2016 at 6:15 am #35352Kirk RobertsParticipantI agree with the other gentleman. Make sure of who the skins guy is and that he is legit. My first year we had a guy who ran the skins game and flat screwed the guys over.
We had our first two rounds rained out so there was a big pot for round three. At the end of the day the pot was something like $5000. Well long story short he supposedly paid the entry for another player that was a scratch player and had a birdie on a long par three and that won the skins guy $2500. Needless to say round four had very few people in the skins when word got out that everyone had been screwed over. If he hadn’t had a very large bodyguard I would say he might have gotten his attitude adjusted!
That was a rare case but it did happen. So be careful who you hand money to. I pay on a daily basis because it’s a long week and you migit have an injury or loose interest. On that note I have won three skins on the last day when I really lost interest in winning the flight and started playing aggressive golf. LOL - AuthorPosts
