I hear you Raymond, just don’t want the hassle this year of running them.
August 10, 2020 at 3:22 pm #47902Denny BurchParticipantMike Hammer – thanks for contributing an idea. As you have read, the players have always ran and participated in these skins games outside of tournament and pro shop administration. As Rick said, the only thing that sometimes the pro will do is announce a “last call” for the skins guy, or let him make a short statement about what he needs to verify your potential skins.
I can’t speak for all flights, but since they went to 2 flights and 96 players per course in 2009, our games included both flights in one game. Steve Harsch has done a good job the last couple years when he has been at my courses. If I recall, we had at least 70 players signed up last year, so the skins are popular with most of the players, at least in the mid-senior 8 to 10 index range. The best part is that it gives players something else to play for if they play poorly and are out of contention quickly. One year I played with a guy who had shot over 100 twice before the last day, but hit a skin for over $500 the last day. Those are the kind of moments that make you want to come back..
Hopefully those who want to run skins games will post on this thread when they get their course assignments in two weeks, including their Monday tee time. Not all will see it, but those that do can adjust their course arrivals/departures if they want to play. If they miss Monday they can figure it out and sign up on a subsequent day.

August 10, 2020 at 6:29 pm #47908Harry (The Hack) RadleyParticipantI was going to hold off on saying anything until later but I suppose I can throw in my 2 cents worth. Now most of you know that I have run fantasy golf and NFL leagues for the past 10 years and have given awsy over $100k in cash so I am one to be trusted. With the skins I have previously taken upon myself the task to do world AM skins in previous years but have not attended for the last few years. I make my return but I am unaware what flight I will be in as for the restrictions to 36 players per flight. I will possibly be 50-60 group 9.4 hcp. So I will wait until we see what particular flight I have. That being said been a said if someone is running skins in those flights I do not want to step on any toes, go for it over best, but I will be here to give you a hand in any way possible. If no one wants to do skins for those particular Flightd I will take upon the task myself so I suppose it is just a waiting game until way find out exactly what flight we have been position and then it will be an open forum to say who wants to run it and who doesn’t. Everyone stay safe see you soon

I’m willing to run skins for my two flights combined. Find me by Tuesday morning. $100 for the week. If I don’t have at least 36 on Monday it will be a scratch on Monday. Everyone else needs to get their money to me by Tuesday morning. Then we will play $20-$40-$40 for the week. If there is a tie on the last day I will go to Mondays scores to payout the cash. I dont collect any cash after Tuesday morning.August 11, 2020 at 7:33 am #47912Kevin JonesParticipantSending for Jeff Barbas…
I’ll collect from everybody I can on Monday. We can leave a sign up sheet on 1 and 10. They can pay me when they see me. If I get 50 signed up and paid on Monday then its game on as usual. There just isn’t going to be any dropping money in a jar or leaving it with a pro as some suggested. Bad idea. You sign up. You pay me when you see me.August 11, 2020 at 8:37 am #47913Raymond BlankParticipantWait!! How is that gonna work if I’m at a different course? I’m confused LOL. How much do we pay? Last time I payed 80 for all four days. Is it the same ?
August 11, 2020 at 8:42 am #47914Raymond BlankParticipantSorry y’all I didn’t read Mr. Jeff’s
Sounds good. I’ll be their on the 26 so leave me a phone number so we can hook up before Monday if it’s ok with yaAugust 11, 2020 at 8:51 am #47915Raymond BlankParticipantWill y’all have a rules sheet on the pay outs
August 11, 2020 at 9:05 am #47916Harry (The Hack) RadleyParticipantThis is how I would run the skin pot. Cost of $20 a day for the first 3 days then $40 on the final day. … $100 for the week. The final day would include a $5 side pot for a last man standing pool section.
To begin I would have to signs made up and place them on the 1st and 10th hole with my cell number and cost of entering. Those players who do not get to see may must text their intentions to play prior to their tee time (time dated ) I will attempt to collect all skin money up until the time of my Tee time. players after that would then have to go by text message with the money to be collected at the end of play where I would be waiting in the clubhouse. All birdies to be recorded must do 1 of 2 things. Firstly they either stay until I’m there to record your birdie or text your birdie to my cell and to be verified before any monies will be paid out. If all birdies have are caught on the final day then I will cap the skins to $100 each and randomly drawer from all of the occupants and pay them out evenly. Thid is because it would be too difficult to verify all other ways in fairness.
In relation to the last man standing if we get a pool of eg. 32 players the 1st day in the skin poy then the top 16 and ties best nett score would advance to the 2nd day. The top 8 net scores and ties advancing to the 3rd day. with the final 4 advancing to the last day with the best 2 net scores playing out example $125 – $75. Just a little side pot fun.August 11, 2020 at 11:36 am #47918Roy AndrewsParticipantDoes anyone here know how the skins games work during the pre world am golf ? Is there someone that takes up the money or what ? First time I have played in anything before the world am. Thanks for any information.
August 11, 2020 at 12:37 pm #47919Ricky HermanParticipantThe pre am events that the world am puts on u will pay in the pro shop when checking in.

August 14, 2020 at 3:03 pm #47955robert millsParticipantnot sure about doing skins on Monday yet because it will be very hectic .. but its a good possibility just have to work it out .. # 1 AND # 10 tee times just don’t work out to get to everyone and be responsible with everyone’s money to me .. I just want to do it right with no problems and complaints ..
August 14, 2020 at 3:09 pm #47957robert millsParticipantwe will do 20.00 Tuesday – 20.00 Wednesday – 40.00 Thursday for sure .. total 80.00 unless something works out for Monday then it will be 20.00 for Monday also ..
