Why no spectators allowed ?
July 6, 2022 at 8:49 am #50821Bruce FriendParticipantNot speaking for WAM staff but I am assuming having a blanket no spectators reduces the chance of liability concerns with insuring the event and as important reduces the chance of cheating as it pertains to the tournament. It is easy to involve a spectator to magically find errant shots and unfortunately it has happened in other type of events that aren’t staffed along with the participants among other ways a non player could be devious. In addition, the courses don’t want to deal with additional carts for non players.
I fully support the no spectators rule.

They just were not allowed to act as caddies or interfere with play. My wife did it for years and since I have seen a few wives out there. I would be in favor of them going back to allowing them. Might help participation.
