First off, thank to the WA Committee. Almost a great tournament. Having the Convention Center again was great. Good to see old friends.
I realize there is a shortage of help but the adult liquor stands were sorely understaffed. And in some cases manned by a couple of terribly rude individuals. One in particular in the ballroom.
This was my 34th consecutive year. I hope to come back again but if it is going to be tee times…I am seriously going to consider if it is worth it. The only accomplishment I saw from tee times was the driving range was “less” crowded. There is still huge congregation before you tee off. Nothing accomplished there. Each course handled tee times differently and in some cases it was just flat painful (Long Bay).
If you had an early tee time, you were seriously disadvantaged due to the wet with heavy dew grass. Later tee times, not so much. If you have and early tee time, you play fast only to get to hole 10 (if you started on hole 1 and boom…you are waiting.
Come on WA…shotgun start.
