Is World Am still allowing golfers to move to another Flight. My brother would like to play, but wants to play in my group 60-69 age. My handicap is 20. He is approx 56. Approx 18 handicap. Is it possible even with reductions?

If your handicap is 20 and his is 18, you will have to move down and play in the 18 handicap flight.
To play together you have to move down to the younger flight or lower handicap flight.

May 11, 2021 at 1:43 pm #49075Bill MajercinParticipantCan he play in “just for fun group” and play in my flight 60-69 flight 20 handicap
May 11, 2021 at 2:56 pm #49076Tommy BriggsBlockedI am not Scott but I can tell you the answer will be no. The number of golfers in each flight is established based on a set number of players to best accommodate two flights playing a single course, regardless of tee times or shotgun, trying to accommodate extra players within a flight is only going to skew the numbers for each flight.
If your friend were allowe3d to do that someone would get bumped up into a higher flight based upon space.
May 11, 2021 at 4:48 pm #49077Scott T. – World AmKeymasterBill – Your best bet is to be in the 50-59 at your lower of the 2 handicaps. In your scenario, both of you in 50-59 at an 18 index. Playing the same courses, but not in the same foursome. The only way to play together in the same foursome is just for fun. You can’t play in two flights or on different courses just to be with someone. That’s the caveat to being able to travel together is reduction in age/handicap.
