Why not have the finals to the 2016 tournament the Sunday before the start of the 2017 Tournament, that way you get all the flight winners back who want to play and it gives everybody time to make travel plans to play in it. Plus you get to crown a 2016 Champion.
September 10, 2016 at 8:04 am #36650Bob NewmanParticipantI can think of one reason—$$$$$$$$ too costly. It is over, weather caused it and you can not go back and get it. The WA made the right call.
September 12, 2016 at 9:45 am #36651Ken WeatherfordParticipantI agree with Bob. I was a flight winner and I wasn’t planning to play next year. Besides, since there was no winner, and I won my flight, it makes me the winner! LOL
September 12, 2016 at 1:15 pm #36652jim mcdanielParticipantSomeone call 911. No one has ever agreed with Bob about anything and he’s on the floor with palpitations….
September 12, 2016 at 2:05 pm #36653Bob NewmanParticipantKen–are you referring to the Old Bobby Brar(sp) song “and that makes me the Winner”??? Or are you too young to remember him?
Jim–do you think I would care enough to have palpitations?????September 12, 2016 at 3:06 pm #36654Jay SeifertParticipantbecause….(as posted on the Facebook site by me)…
Sunday a year later play… “makes little practical sense as the 2016 “winner” would only be so for less than 5 days in …2017. It also may not be practical from the participants POV as many of the flight winners may not be able to make it back the following year due to schedules. In short, you might get 50% of the finalist to attend a year later & they will likely not be playing as well as they did in the tournament. Additionally, what if one of the players who finished 2016’s round at a 16 handicap practices and gets lessons and becomes a 3 handicap the following year. You can’t really let him represent the 16 HDCP flight when he is then playing to a 3. I could go on but no real need to, right?”September 12, 2016 at 3:28 pm #36655Scott SpringerParticipantSaturday, the day after should have been an option somewhere didn’t have to be at Barefoot. Does the course matter al playing the same one. Cost $50 to change a flight
September 12, 2016 at 6:25 pm #36657Bill HambrickParticipantWhat are you going to do??? Book an entire course on a maybe???
September 12, 2016 at 8:22 pm #36658Scott SpringerParticipantin the afternoon yes
September 19, 2016 at 4:57 pm #36681Rick KimbrellParticipantThe WA did the right thing. I was a flight winner and I totally agree with what the did. The logistics just do not work out otherwise.
September 20, 2016 at 11:07 am #36683John CossaboomParticipantRick,
