Scott, question on the handicap format. Are the players split up into their flights and playing on their own course the 3 days like we do at WAM? I’m asking as two of us are planning on going with one car and one of us is under 50 with a 6 handicap and the other is over 50 with a 13 handicap. Can we request to ride together on the same course but still be in our respective flight? Thanks.

Unlike the World Am, Q School is flighted strictly by handicap. Also unlike the World Am, you can request to be at the same courses while being in different flights. We are also permitting shared cart requests (1 per person) for this year for limiting contact.

The small print — The 13 would have to play as handicap as low as the last person on the courses of the person playing as a 6 (or remain a 13 if that number is higher). Hope that makes sense.

So Scott the Q school from looks above is its going to be like the world am was 1 per cart and playing 3 in the groups or will it be 4 some’s…

Also any way of knowing how many has signed up I didn’t see a counter on the web page like we have for the WAM

We are not able to do single cart but will allow for you to pick your riding partner if you are on the same courses.

Hey Scott I see the people playing in the q school hasn’t been updated lately looks like Dec 7 was last update how many people are in right now ?

@mike sigmon, there is a link under Schedule/About, titled CURRENT PARTICIPANTS, scroll to the bottom and you can find the current number of registered players. As of today, 12/16 we have 142 players entered.

Hey Tommy,
Yea thanks for the info….I looked at that on Tue. 12/15 but it had not been updated was still showing the total from Dec. 7…I’m planning on playing but like last year we have a meeting that I have to be at on Monday March 15 with several others but as of right now I haven’t been able to get it changed ( waiting one one person that’s on Vacation to let me know if he can change his schedule ) but hope to get it moved to the week before just didn’t want all the spots to get taken before I knew something and I can not get in same thing happen to me last year…Just hate to sigh up and have to cancel if others can’t move there schedules around for me…I should know Wed. 12/23 or before if I can moved it to the week before or not…

Just looks like they are a little slow on doing the update for current participants on the page isn’t like the world AM where we have a running counter LOL…

Hope you make it they have expanded the field from 200 to 300 participants so I have to assume it is well received. I love the tourney, and the format. Since I am retired the fact it is played through the week does not impact me and I like that we can get there early and play Sunday and / or Saturday

Boy,I would love to go but with the border being closed I am screwed. I flew in for the WA but coming back to Canada was unbelievable. The 14 day quarantine was murder.
