5600 yds is way too short for someone that bombs it like Jim–he ought to be at 6400 yds, and he is closer to a 9 index, just look at his scores– LOL have a good day Jim. I have been looking at last 12 mos index for me and I may not be as look as I thought I would be–I guess that 100 I slipped to a guy at GHINN was worth it.

    Bob,
I bought new clubs last fall and it has taken awhile to get used to them. My index went up to as high as 14+ this summer. But it has come back down to mid 12’s. They will have me at 11.4 for the WA so not too far off. It’s all about the fun until the wheels fall off, and then it’s whine time.

Hope you got graphite shafts in them. They are lighter so you can throw them further after a bad shot

i have been thinking about new clubs since the spring but have not pulled the trigger yet. Will probably hit some at CC–wonder if PXG will have a rep there???? still have not got too excited about it this year, game is not close to where it should be, having trouble focusing. Have 4 bad holes a round and it all comes from the mind. Golf is not fun when you play bad.

    Bob,
Don’t know how much coin you got in your pocket but I have read that the PXG run about $200 a club.
Not for the average joe. (or Bob)

but I only need 6 irons and if they are as good as their ads lead us to believe, they could very well be worth it. How much is a Titleist AP 1 or AP 2 ????. I only change irons every 3 to 4 years so if you factor in all the info, it is only a number and how do you factor in enjoyment they may bring to me. it does not cost anything to look and dream. LOL

    David,

I think you will find PXG’s are north of $500 per club. They advertize $12,000 for a professional fitting and two nights in a 5 star resort in Pheonix, with two rounds of golf. Fitted one day and clubs are ready for you the next.

If I paid 12k for a set of clubs I know where my wife would fit them the next day. Straight up my a$$.

But just look at what you could save if they had someone at the CC to do the fitting and they ship you the clubs.

Quite a few sets of PXG irons are on Ebay already for sale in used condition, I say give it another year and Ebay and places will be swamped with sets of irons people bought thinking they were cool or the next best thing and found out they hated them or couldn’t play them and you will be able to snag some for a fraction of the cost if you truly want them!

People on this board have complained about the increase of the entry they would be the people who buy PXG Irons. I would gladly punch them in the face for all the World Am Staff 🙂
