I love the tourney but I PRAY we don’t go to tee times!
I always start early and a 9:00 AM start is rather late for me but I’m still done early enough to enjoy the afternoon.
If I was to catch a tee time around noon, I would be beside myself!

Myself, I have played in 7-8 World AM’s now and I have entered again this year and I also entered 2 of the skins games pre-tourney. Along with that I have already rented a condo so I’m ready for a great time even if it is a little different than prior years.
I have never won anything in any of the drawings but I still entered early just to be eligible for the May drawing. So, I look at it this way, if I buy raffle tickets for an outside drawing and I don’t win, I don’t expect my money back.
Myself, I take the same position here, if they have the drawing and I don’t win anything and down the road the tourney is cancelled, I won’t be whining if I don’t get 100% reimbursement, that’s just me….

Ohhh, just to add I know they note that on the sheets we are handed before play starts at the World AM but I just played in a tourney without those sheets and 3 of us hit left along and in the penalty area. We all hit from the correct area but when we got to the drop area I was asked if we can drop? I said “no” our ball is in play, period. However, not getting a sheet or brief on the drop areas the question came up for future holes, could we call a provisional?

I also play up north for a short season and sometimes some god ugly greens. When they started to go to the handicap low for the 12 months, I took a hit there myself. Does it mean I want to take my clubs and go home because I won’t win? No, I love this tourney, I love all the guys I have met and play with, and I really think it evens up the playing field. I play to enjoy myself and I do. If I win something, great! The perks are over the top to begin so I’m a winner already!
