Aaron, clearly the lake of water on all the greens was to keep them from running as 4-5 with how closely they were mowed and rolled!!! Be grateful that you got to play on such a quality course!!!

Aaron, I think you should be more concerned with how many extra strokes you should have been given for paying that alpaca track known as lions paw!

So I started this thread and played there today, and after reflecting on my initial comments I have to say dog track was inappropriate as it’s really unfair to dogs! The pro assured us that they had been mowing 24/7. Not really sure what he meant by that seeing as there were huge patches of uncut grass in the fairway! But on the plus side it was lift clean and place and the plethora of crabgrass in the fairway made for nice tees for the ball. And when he said they had mowed he must have meant everywhere but the greens because they were so long you could comb them! Next year I’m hoping to draw Robbers Roost in the tournament because it couldn’t possibly be any worse then this garbage landfill passing itself off as a golf course!!

Mike, over the past 20 years I’ve heard the same argument about the Myrtle Beach Holiday Group and the money course pay and while I understand it, it’s an unacceptable answer to a tournament that hosts usually 3300 players!!! The tournament reps should strive to provide the best courses not just the ones that pay money!

It is an embarrassment for this tournament that I have played in for 20 years that we have to play on that goat track and it’s disappointing that after several people agreeing that no one from the tournament would at the very least go out and have a look at that atrocity and maybe, just maybe do the right thing and make a change!

I think you’re being generous by saying the fairway is the length of a normal first cut. There were patches in some fairways were you couldn’t even see your ball! Absolutely awful!!!!
