    Chandler,
I will probably be in your flight this year. I have one favor to ask, each day please notify everyone in the game of the days results before paying out, ie what hole held up and with what score.
The flight I was in last year the guy running it just said he would call you if you had a skin. So after round 1, no call so I figure no skin for me. The next morning well before the 1st tee time I ask the guy what held up, he says there were 3 skins and the hole #’s, then adds there would have been a 4th skin but the only birdie on that hole didn’t get in the game. I start to walk away, then look at my phone with the scorecard picture I sent him after the round. I make a u-turn to go find him and collect for my 2 skins. He says I wasn’t in the game. He had my name on his list of skins players and a copy of my scorecard showing the birdies. I showed him my photo and say I am here to collect, and he responds “I already paid out and can’t get the money back.” By the way, the 4th potential skin, I had birdied that hole also. He then said it wouldn’t have mattered because there was another birdie on that hole. After he had already said there was only one birdie on the hole.
On the last day, several people from both flights as we were waiting in line at the convention center looked through the World Am page and looked at all scores for both flights, hole by hole for the last day. Don’t know who all was in the skins game, but there were 2 holes with only 1 birdie each. Guess what, neither of them got paid and both were in the skins game.
I would say 99% of players volunteering their time running the skins games in their flights do an outstanding job. That 1% however…….

    Darren,
    From another thread:

I am running skins in flight 16 & 17. I will be at the course at least 30 minutes before the start of the round to collect from anyone wanting to participate.

    According to the website:

How will the carts be utilized at the golf course?

Participants in the event will be assigned two to a cart for each round of the event. Players are encouraged to wear a face covering when unable to social distance, and players are allowed to walk their round if they choose to.*

*Walking can be challenging at certain area golf courses, and push/pull carts are not provided.

    Mike,
The instructions they were given related to the scorecard. The committee reviewed what happened and removed the penalty. Turned a 131 back into the 88 he shot.

a group playing World Tour was penalized for following the instructions of the starter and The World Am staff penalized them for following the instructions they were given!
    What a joke!!!!!!!

The World Am app was just updated. Has 2117 players and their handicaps listed. Not sorted by age groups or flights yet though.

    Scott,
Nah, just wondering how close we were to getting the flights set. I blame my insomnia for getting mine in early.

    JT,
Thank you for running the flight skins game last year. You did a great job! If I end up in your flight, I will enjoy the golf, play in the skins game and buy you a drink.

If I end up in the flights just below yours, I will volunteer to run those flight skins, since Rick and Jeff are moving to different flights this year.

Unless Scott comes out and says no skins games, I think we should plan on still having them.
I understand some folks would be hesitant to run the game in their flights with everything going on now.
I am willing to run the Skins games in my flights. My L.I. is 7.3 Senior flight.

    Rick,
How many times you have played in the WA doesn’t matter. You have played 32 previous times, good on you.
The WA is an opportunity for everyone who loves golf to participate, grow the game by bringing new people and having a good time.
My comments before were directed at your “The sky is falling”, negative and apocalyptic view of the WA this year. I had said courses could loan carts to other courses, and you had a temper tantrum.
I had figured after no comments from you for a month, that you had finally found a positive outlook on the subject. I was wrong.
I am done with your negative outlook and comments. I choose to look at the positive side and to enjoy seeing old friends that I have played with in past events, including the WA, Veterans Classic, Retired Military classic, and other events Scott’s team has put together. I am thankful for everyone who helped start and grow these events to give all golfers opportunities to enjoy a game we love. Stop and smell the roses some time, life is to short to be as bitter as you are.

    Rick,
I live in Texas, same as you by the way, and they do that. Stop giving no as your answer and find a way to get to yes.
The world will go forward and we will adapt. If you can’t, the pull out of the World Am, get your money back and hide indoors.

    Rick,
Courses do it all the time when they have large events. Especially if it is a golf group that owns multiple courses.

    Solutions instead of excuses..
