What are the odds of that 16-handicapper breaking 80?
Knuth: The odds of someone beating their handicap — if it’s an honest handicap — by eight strokes are 1,138 to 1. For most players that represents about 54 years of golf — a lifetime for many. The odds of beating your number by eight strokes twice are 14,912 to 1, or 710 years of golf.Tony RobisonParticipantSo your story about being an 18 wasn’t true. You failed in your initial story to tell people you were playing the forward/executive tees.
I would still say if you’re playing the forward tees at home (which I suspect you do otherwise why play the in a tournament) and still are an 18 then you’re not posting all your scores.
You’re a sandbagger and you got caught. No way you’re going to shoot consecutive best days ever during a tournament is total BS
What was your differential for those two days? To find that just look at your handicap record, if you posted
Tony RobisonParticipantAn 18 handicapper is not going to shoot 78/80……ever
No matter playing the courses early. You haven’t done it on your home course in perfect weather (unless you didn’t post). So the fact is your handicap didn’t represent your true potential shows in fact you did cheat. Which is evidenced by your own statement “doing what you were capable of doing”

Tony RobisonParticipantThe Dollhouse 😂
Tony RobisonParticipantYou should have a password from the very first time you played. You can always request it
Tony RobisonParticipantIt look good for the most part. Greens have been sanded but not cut yet. They putted smooth anyway. Fairways and traps were in good shape. Rough is thick to the point it will be difficult to do anything except punch out. All in all Long Bay is in good shape
Tony RobisonParticipantPairings are up on app
Tony RobisonParticipantRiver Club was fine today. Greens just sanded. Sea Trails Jones was wet, cart path only, grass hasn’t been cut yet in many places. Greens were spotty but patted smooth but grainy. Will play Long Bay tomorrow
Tony RobisonParticipantJohn
Sorry can’t help. I’ll be babysitting two other participants in the flight. Playing down two age groups to insure they can find their way back to hotel
Tony RobisonParticipantI’m also flight 5 and I’m also interested in who’s running skins for 5&6.
Tony RobisonParticipantGHIN app works great and it connects to apple watch

Tony RobisonParticipantNot talking about a 5 year age gap. Just follow all golf associations and put 54 and under together instead of 49 and under
Tony RobisonParticipantThere is a flight with 59 and it’s co flight has 53. That’s makes a very long day. These flights are in the 49 and under and have a spread of almost 3 index points. That’s why I posted that the WA should include ages 54 and down like every golf association
Tony RobisonParticipantGoing to drive down from Pinehurst area early Wednesday and play River Club at 7:30 and Sea Trail-Jones at 1:57, then on Thursday I’m going to play Long Bay at 12:00
In flight 5 (because of younger friends) but should have stayed in my age group which would have put me in flight 29
Tony RobisonParticipantDid you pack cheese to go along with that whine, I’m playing down from mid-seniors into the mens (0-49) and got a course slope of 138 and over 6700 yds
