The paper course assignment sheets of previous years have been phased out with our new upgraded badge system. You can find Course Assignment information on the webpage here: http://worldamclassic.golfnet.com/tourney/default.aspx

Course Handicaps can be found at the golf course each day, or you can plug in the information using the USGA’s Course Handicap Calculator here: https://www.usga.org/course-handicap-calculator.html

    https://myrtlebeachworldamateur.com/rules/

    “Equipment
The one ball rule will not be in effect for the championship. All equipment used during the event must be USGA conforming. It is the player’s responsibility to determine conformity. Any player using non-conforming equipment will be subject to disqualification. Electronic Measuring Devices will be allowed during play, as long they measure distance only.”

Be certain that the App used is conforming, it should display on the App or be clarified in the App’s details and settings, etc. If you cannot confirm on the App itself, reach out directly to the App you used for clarification.

    Good afternoon!

In an effort to improve and advance the badging and information systems in 2023, we did eliminate the paper copy of course assignments that was attached to a player’s badge in previous years.

Players can find all of the information previously on the paper sheets by going to the “Course Assignments” page: http://worldamclassic.golfnet.com/tourney/default.aspx

PGATSS electronic gift cards are currently being created by the PGATSS for top finishers in each flight. Once they are sent to us we will distribute them immediately out to all top finishers via email. We are still waiting on those, and when we receive them we will send those out as soon as possible.

Congratulations on a great week, and we appreciate the continued support of the World Am!

The Thursday re-pairing will not be done this year.

The amount of paperwork, communication, and planning that has to be done effectively in an incredibly small window for 3,200 golfers and 32 golf courses on Wednesday night (while the 19th Hole / score changes / rulings) are also going on is simply too much to justify. In an ideal world we would re-pair every round, but the size of the event simply makes it unfeasible.

It is very important to understand that ALL tournament information, updates, scoring, and news is readily available (without logging in) at http://www.myrtlebeachworldamateur.com

The World Am app will be seeing updates throughout the weekend & week, and this will effect log in capabilities, especially if you change your password. If you have issues logging in to the App, please keep in mind that you are not missing out on anything as the tournament website has all of the same information for consumption.

The area has seen widespread rainfall that was significant in areas. Cart path only will likely be in play for many courses. Golf courses are working very hard to get courses in top shape for tournament action this week.

Tony, thank you for the feedback.

As you can imagine the logistics, planning, and execution that goes into the amount of players, flights, and divisions we currently offer is absolutely enormous. The age divisions offered currently are already substantial, but doubling that number of divisions by going to 5-year age gaps would be nearly impossible to manage effectively.

Bill, we can access your hole by hole scoring records for World Am 2017, and we will follow this up with an email containing those scores. We apologize for the confusion there.

Being that the World Am from 2017 was almost two years ago, these scores should already be posted under the rules and guidelines of the USGA Handicap system and posting them at this time will have no effect on your index.

Scores are to be posted as soon as practical after the completion of a round of golf.
