Tidewater, Thistle, King’s North and Lion’s Paw are some that I have not played yet. O yea I don’t want to leave out Caledonia, most of the rest I have played thru the years since I live in the Upstate of South Carolina and have gone on golf trips for years with a group of golfers.

Guys, this is a ball pick up, it’s spring loaded and you spear the ball out of the cup, after that you close it so you don’t know it’s on your putter I agree about digging the ball out with your putter head, that will mess up the hole and should not be done. This works for me because I have other medical conditions that come into play. Mainly an amputated right leg below the knee so bending over with my prosthetic leg on is a strain on my back. Just teeing the ball every hole is hard to do but I love playing golf no matter how bad I PLAY NOW.

Aaron, first congras on tying for first in your flight ( # 8 ) in the under 49 group. Wait till you get like me in the Super Senior group ( 71 years old, Fight 59 ) the old back just can’t take all the bending over like it use to . That’s when you will put it on your putter. As you get older all the other ailments get to you also. This is the best ball picker up that I have seen or used, you don’t even know its on the end on your putter.

Scott, You only have to wear the mask around the club house and parking lot and NOT on the Golf course? Is that right?

Back in 2017 after two days of cart path only, we played ( last day ) Sea Trails Plantation – Jones Course – and they let us play handicap golf for everyone. You could go almost on the tee boxes and to within a few yards of the greens and you talk about a fast round and this being in the last flight ( # 45 ) of the Mid Senior group. If you want to speed things up, this would be something to consider.

The Green shirt from a few years ago was really nice. How about a very nice shirt in either a Clemson Orange or Furman Purple color.

I have a Nickel Putter Ball Pick Up, that you can get at the PGA Superstore for $19.99 and put it on your putter. Look it up and see how it works. Its item # 1003716 and I HAVE BEEN USING ONE OF THESE FOR YEARS. They work great at getting the ball out of the cup and also save your back by not having to bend down to get your ball.

I live in the Upstate of S.C. and you can do either. Most courses will charge you a couple of bucks up to $5.00 more to ride by yourself. Reason they say is because they have to rent more carts. Don’t know if that is true but it is what it is.

Bob, don’t get my wrong, I plan to play this year since I booked my Hotel room in November at a great rate At THE GRAND SHORES OCEAN RESORTS, STAYED THERE THE LAST TWO TIMES I HAVE STAYED IN Myrtle Beach, saved $ 50.00 from last years rate. $ 331.00 for 5 nights including Resort fee. Being 71 years young and having a heart attack back in 2018 and missing the tournament, I don’t plan on missing any more. Golf is the best part of the tournament, but my better half does like the entertainment at the CC and the Friendly’s ice cream. Since her brother lives in Conway, we always get with them to eat out a couple of nights while we are down. Have been playing since 2007 and enjoy this tournament, having made a whole lot of friends and came in tied for 4th in last years flight. So I will be there.

I feel this tournament is a little pricey if you do not have the 19th hole. Most courses can be booked from $ 40.00 to $ 60.00 and the gift bag is basically the same old stuff just in a different color. I wish one year they would do away with the PULLOVER and go to just a nice windbreaker jacket like they did a few years back. I have way too many pullovers that I do not wear. A nice sweater would be good too. I feel that with No 19th hole the price should be in the $ 350.00 range. What do you think ?

Seems to me if there is a cancellation that any moneys would carry over to next years tournament. Its like a rain out, you get a round the next year on that course.

Bill and Scott – Bill, Hope you don’t get TPC Myrtle Beach because they will not give you a Handicap Flag. I have a Prosthetic Right leg and they would not give me a flag last year, basically said too bad and with it being about 92* that day and taking 6 hours to play I did not have a good round and was to the point of almost not finishing the round. I hope never to go back there again because of the NO Handicap Flag rule and the Rude Pro Shop Personnel.
