Well that scenario would pertain to everyone earlier in the week that someone has to start on a hard hole and some are lucky enough to start on a easy hole. In a perfect world they would repair after the first day but I think that makes sandbagging easier if you know what everyone is doing then you might not go for the green on a par five or lay up and play for par.
I say let everyone worry where they stand till the last putt is made.
Again just my opinion.
