I’m going out on an optimistic limb (extremely dangerous venture with my weight!) and say we will learn our future this Friday, August 16th, at 3:17 EST.

Tom: Handicaps are due by this Thursday, 8/15. When you submit, there is a message saying course assignment will be coming out a week from today on Monday, August 19th. It’s like Christmas in July, lol…..

    Chris,
Some years they come out earlier. If everyone gets their handicaps in quick we could see them sooner than the 8/19. Fingers crossed.

Yeah let’s hope for an early release.
How about a wish list?? Here’s mine.

    True Blue
    Leopards Chase
    Tradition
    Burning Ridge

Now keep in mind the geographical strategy there lol. And I also considered the whole A,B,C, & D rankings (although most of the courses depending on condition aren’t D’s anymore).

I only hope for no Pete Dye courses, that dude is a sadist.

I know Prestwick is a Pete and PB Dye course and Barefoot Dye is Pete Dye. Consider yourself privileged if you get either of those. They are challenging but wonderful. Not as difficult as other Dye courses I have played throughout the country but they both have a couple of very tough holes. Especially #9 & #18 on each. I don’t know if either Dye designed any other Grand Strand courses but I personally will take any as I know it will be a top tiered course.

I look at it this way, this is a monumental task but I am 100% sure that Scott and his team had the framework in place for a while now. Having said that I believe that they are fast at work plugging in names to flights so they can come out with the courses on Friday, probably around 1:00…

I am guessing the flights and courses are already done. It’s a matter of who’s in what flights.

I played Prestwick and wouldn’t have guessed it’s a Pete Dye course. Not every green was surrounded by bunkers. :/

I played Prestwick on my own and would love to get lucky and get that as one of my courses. I only got to play the front.

In my 10 years of playing, I have never gotten lucky enough to get True Blue, any Barefoot, Prestwick or Tidewater. My favorite, by far, is Caledonia, but I also enjoy Grand Dunes, Burning Ridge, Grand Dunes, Legends Parkland, Tradition and Oyster Bay.

As much as I enjoy these courses, Scott, please no more River’s Edge ever again. Ever! Let’s give this one to the youngsters.
