Am I correct to assume that cell phone GPS software as well as devices like Golf Buddy Voice, Swami, Garmin Watch, Laser Rangefinders, etc. can be utilized as long as the device measures distance only (no slope function)?
This has always been the case in the past, and I haven’t seen anything to say otherwise for 2025.
Rules of golf 4.3a allows this. The WA would have to put in a Local Rule to not allow them.
