Wanted to know if it is legal to use lead tape on your putter in the world am
August 5, 2019 at 12:35 pm #46479Charles FreelandParticipantCheck USGA for approval.

The tape cannot be removed, altered or added to. If it falls off during play it can be added back to the same spot as it was. If the old tape does not stick (gotta give it an honest effort to get it back on) you can grab a new piece of the same size and put it in the same place. If it falls off, won’t stick and you have no new tape you can still use your club.
If the tape gets altered/damaged not during normal play, the club can’t be used.
That is what I understand on the rule

August 8, 2019 at 8:51 am #46532Mark HancockParticipantYes, the 14 club rule is in effect and that always includes the putter.
The World Amateur plays by the USGA rules of golf. Each club may have a local rule in effect and if so, they will point it out on the rules sheet provided at the start of the round.
