To those of you who participated in flight 32, this is for you. First and foremost, we had a nice draw of 4 totally unique and great courses. Day 1 at Wachesaw was our first challenge. Day 2 was our greatest challenge with rain and a long delay at The Wizard. My cart partner exclaimed, “at first I was walking very carefully(in regards to wet feet)…now I’m just walking”!! The course was sopping wet for all of us, but we still got to play 18 holes of golf. Day 3 and 4 we had glorious weather and played a beauty at River’s Edge and a treacherous Diamondback. Yes, I won our flight, but to me it was more of survival trying to keep the ball in play for the most part. I’m glad I played a practice round at Diamondback a few days prior to the tournament, a suggestion for those of you in the future.
My apology to all of you for “tanking” on day 5. I was in good shape after 6 holes when 2 unfortunate shots sunk my day. The adrenaline from the previous 4 days was spent. My best to the staff who coordinate this entire event and my best wishes to all of my fellow competitors in the future. God bless. - AuthorPosts
