Anyone running skins for flight 6? Handicap 9.7-11.4

Ken, I have mentioned in previous post that I could run this, as long as I can figure out the best way with all the tee times.

I am working on that now, if I get a plan together, I don’t mind.

Ok sounds great to me Ken. First timer here so I’m trying to figure out how the tournament runs. I assume we have the same schedule with courses?

Ken, they are doing tee times this year. I think they range from 7:45 – 10am.
So until we get those, we won’t know what time we are playing but yes, we will all be on the same courses. Flight 5 will most likely tee of on #1 and Flight 6 on hole 10 (double tee).

Ken it sounds like it’s going to be crazy with tee times. Like I said on the other thread I can be there prior and after no issues I don’t have anything to do after, the problem I see is even if we both did it is you and I took money for pot there probably will be people missed is you tee off first and I tee off at in middle we both would be gone so I suggest we make it a pay on Monday for entire week or make sure the players that are not comfortable with entire week need to be there prior to all tee times to give you or I money and sign in? Does that make sense?? My games have almost always been 20,20,20,40 with payout every day no skins rolls over to only players that were in that day. Again my biggest concern is you get a guy in the first group that wins a skin but jets before everyone else is in so one of us would be holding and responsible for finding that player and holding their money. That can get crazy in this scenario. So people would have to understand that. I had one guy one year do it pretty much every day then when I paid him he basically was like thanks and walk away. Not that I require or even expect tips I and I’m sure you do it so we have a game but come in I’m banking your 200-300 bucks and then trying to find you the next day. Which might be hard if your not looking for us. So I think if you or I or both of us do this we need to make sure people understand the the expectations of find us and if you didn’t get in you can’t be mad because we were not available to take your money when you showed up 10 min before your tee time and we’re already playing. Thoughts??

I’m normally in the 3-4 flights but have had a rough last year so I’m at the bottom of flight 5. I think with the help of someone from each flight I don’t see how both flights couldn’t be combined. Makes the pot bigger and more fun. I helped Jeff Barbas last year with the skins. He had an early tee time for Monday and I had a later one so he passed me his sheet and money bag to collect the rest. But like you said, if your not paid up and in Monday then your not in. We can figure out a system for scorecards and figuring out skins if you like and I can chip in when I can to help.

    My thoughts..

1.Collect the money on Day 1.
2.Provide a Cell Phone for everyone to text their hole/s scores (Birdies and Eagles Only)
    3. Verify the skins from the online scores that evening.
    4. Pay Out the next morning.
    5. Thursday…Wait it out and pay skins…Or pay out the last day via Venmo

So I think for flights 5/6 we should have a fair amount of people that know/trust each other to cover most tee times for round one. This should allow for an easier time to make sure most people can get into the skins. Photos of official score cards to one cell number for those who cannot wait for the rounds to end will have to be it and payment the next day. For the final day of you get a birdie/eagle probably best to stick around the clubhouse as long as you can. If you can’t stay too long communication can be done via texts to see/meet up for payments/winners

    Thoughts from a Curmudgeon :

    1. 100% of flights 5 and 6 should be participating. If you don’t plan on getting in the skins, you should just stay home and take up pickleball.
    2. Everyone needs to get their lazy butts out of bed and get to the course before the first tee time on the first day and give Ken your money.
    3. I’m pretty sure none of us are mission essential or have something so important to do that we have to rush off after the round is complete. Sit down, grab a beer and wait for Ken to get in.
    4. There should be no pictures of skins, texting skins, emailing skins, absentee skins or mail in skins. Didn’t you jacklegs learn your lesson from the election last November! It should be in person skins and if you look the least bit shady, we will ask for a photo ID.
    5. Last but not least, TIP THE SKINS GUY! Don’t be that cheapskate that I have to call out.

Have a nice day and I will see you suckers next week!
