Hey everyone,
I am happy to be joining the World Am for the first time this year! Been playing for a while now but this event seems legendary.
A little nervous though not gonna lie. Is there anything a newbie like me should know beforehand? Packing tips? Course prep essentials?
I would be very grateful for any guidance or opinions from seasoned World Am veterans. I am excited for the competition and the entire experience. ♳
Thank you..:)

You’ll have a great time if you lower your expectations and don’t pressure yourself to win prizes. I’ve played 10+ times, and once I changed my outlook I started playing better. Expect and embrace 5+ hour rounds. Read the rules (especially on how and where to drop from cart paths, water, unplayable etc.) because you may be the only one in your group who knows what to do. Everyone is fun to be with, over 30 years I can honestly say I only played with one person who I would never want to play with again!
