I doubt very much that they will turn down any one even if the number should go to 3500.Why would they every player is money.Most people probably know this but back when DuPont was the title sponsor and they gave away a car each year we had over 5000 players.i think they should add $10 to the entry fee and use that money to buy a car to give away or find a sponsor to donate one .This would probably drive up the participation,don’t think it will ever be 5000 again but a 10-20 percent increase would be nice especially if it brings in younger players.Really need the younger guys to keep this tournament going this will be my 29 year and the field keeps getting older.Just my thoughts.

Haven’t seen anyone volunteer for flights 29 and 30.If no one else steps up I will come prepared to collect on Monday morning but I would really rather someone else take care of it.If I d end up doing them it will be $20-20 -20 and $50 for the final day a total of $110 for the week.I will need to see your tournament scorecard at the end of my round each day.If no winner on the last day I will draw 5 names from the guys that are still at the golf course.You must be present to be eligible for drawing.if I have a early tee time on Monday and can’t get everyone I will leave a sign up sheet in the clubhouse but you must be signed up before you tee off on the first hole and I must have your money when I come in.But like I said I would really rather someone else do this.Play well guys see you on Monday.

I done the skins both years we had tee times.First year I had a middle time so I got as many people as I could before I teed off then went to the pro shop and asked if I could post a sing up sheet on the front door and they very gracious not only said yes but also took there payment for the whole week.The second year I was fortunate to have drawn a late time got there early got everyone singed up for the week.Both years I allowed guys to get in the game after the first day as long as they paid before the round.i stayed at the course every day until the end to collect cards and pay out winners.

Hey Mike in in flights 33-34 glad to hear you want to do the skins I ran them for years and really don’t want to anymore.Do you plan to run both flights together?that’s how I always done them it just makes for a better pay day.I have seen where some guys are going to raise the daily fee up to 25 or 30 with 50 on Thursday.just some info for you what ever you decide is good by me.if you should need any help I’m available.Thanks for doing it.

Hole no.1 is very rarely the number 1 handicap hole on the course,I would hate to be in the top 4 and have to start on the hardest hole and by luck of the draw one of the other top 4 got to play the course as it was laid out.they get to build a little momentum heading into those tough holes where as I might make a big number on that 1 handicap and wreck my hole round.I’ve been lucky enough to have been in that top 4 paring and I’ll tell you it is definitely a another level.Just my two cents.

Nobody wants to play a course that’s in poor condition (or worse)but you all gotta understand a few things.There are only so many courses available to host the tournament and there are over 3200 players I don’t think they can cram every one on to the top 10 courses.And before you start thinking that there are far more available courses then 10 obviously there are but a large number of them don’t want the wa playing on them or there price point is so high that it would push up the entry price so high that none of us would want to play.so if you have to put up with a course that is sub par remember that everyone is playing the same conditions that day and the ones with the best attitude that day will probably play the best.By the way I’ve been playing 24 years now and have played courses from pristine to pretty rough.Go to the 19th hole afterwards eat drink and relax.

Ok since no one has volunteered to do skins for our two flights I will get it set up.Here is how I plan to do it.I’m going to ask that everyone get to the course early to get in the skins pot as my tee time is 8:03.I have talked to the head pro at the River Club and they are ok with me putting a sign up sheet in the pro shop for everyone to sign up. Here are the rules,you must be signed up before you start playing Monday and you must be paid up immediately after your round on Monday.I will be in the club house after my round on Monday to collect your money.$100 dollars for the week 20-20-20-40.Ties and rain outs carry over to the next day,in the event that there are no winners on Thursday everyone that is still at the course will be put into a drawing and we will draw 5 names and the money will be split evenly to those 5 people. Please tell anyone you know to try and get there early to get signed up.And again if anyone else wants to do this I will gradually hand it over. Everyone play well and we will send someone home aWinner.

That probably won’t work now with the tee times unless someone with a very late start time does them.I have been doing them in the past but really don’t want to this year as I have an 8:03 start on Monday.But will if no one else does.
